Finally! An update!

My apologies to everyone who regularly checks this blog, hoping to find the latest pics and news about Amelia. I've been kind of slacking, but rest assured, I've added a whole bunch of new entries this time. I'll try to do better about updating this more often, but until then , hopefully this will hold you over. I'm going to try to post more videos soon. but my video camera has been acting up.

Making Mommy's Birthday card

I asked Amelia to "sign" a birthday card for Nicole. At that point, Amelia decided to take it upon herself to use the next 20 minutes adding her "artistic touch" to card.

The end result can be seen below. Quite the artist. Grandpa K would be proud.

Amelia the Flower Girl...almost

Nicole's cousins. Stacey and Trisha Nakano recently had a joint wedding and asked Amelia to be one of the flower girls. Of course Mommy and Daddy willingly agreed, knowing that Amelia would probably love the attention of walking down the aisle. All the flower girls were given the same beautiful dresses to wear. Our little Amelia however decided long before the wedding that this gown was not something she wanted to wear. Over the next few weeks before the wedding day, we tried repeatedly to have her try it on, and she refused, kicking and screaming. Our last hope was that she would see the other flower girls and realize how pretty it was to wear. In the dressing room, with the other girls, Amelia put her gown on, but then realized what she was wearing and proceeded to try to rip it off. Luckily, we brought a "backup" dress which became our saving grace. As you can see, it's not quite the same, but I'm sure the brides preferred a different dress over a screaming flower girl.

Monkeying around at the zoo

Amelia recently took a trip to the Santa Ana zoo. However, she seemed to take more of interest in the statues of animals rather than the "live" ones. Probably because she prefers to get up close and personal with things.

Speaking of monkeying around...

Here's Amelia's costume for Halloween this year. Funny b/c she willingly put this monkey suit on, but refused to wear the flower girl wedding gown. Again, proof that she may be more of a ham like daddy than we thought.

One lucky Grandchild.

Being the only grandaughter of both sides of the family, there's no shortage of hugs and kisses.

Wrestling with Grammy K!

Amelia has a blast when she goes to a party where there's an inflatable "bounce house" And it's even more of a blast when Grandma K joins in. People think I still act like a kid sometimes. As you can see, it's inevitably in the genes.

Amelia meets her new cousin, Colin

Amelia recently had to give up her title of "baby" of Kawaguchi family and pass the torch onto her new cousin, Colin Kyoshi Cheung. Colin becomes son #2 for my sister, Robbyn. Amelia had a chance to meet her new cousin and lovingly refers to him as "baybeee".

Can't figure out how to comment?

Some of you have been asking how to comment on the blog entries. Here is an easy guide that you can refer to:

At the end of each blog entry, it tells you how many comments have been made (i.e. "0 comments" "5 comments", etc"). It's easy to spot because it is magenta-colored. Simply click on that.

Once you click on that. A number of people have said that they are not sure which option to select when it asks them to choose an "identity". The easiest way is to select "name/url". Then simply type your name in the appropriate box, type your comment in the comment box, and sent it. You don't have to worry about typing anything in the box that says "url". Just leave that blank.

If you want leave an anonymous comment, select "anonymous" and type your comment. Hopefully that makes sense.

Picture Day at Daycare!

I've been meaning to post these. The beach theme seems kind of irrelevant now that it's the middle of November, but cuteness definitely lasts all year long.
